Open Expression in Higher Education Workshop
A practical workshop on fundamental First Amendment and academic freedom principles for campus administrators, student affairs staff, faculty, and higher education professionals.
About the Workshop
This workshop, typically 60 or 90 minutes, focuses on fundamental First Amendment and academic freedom principles and how they are applied within higher education. It is designed for campus professionals who need a clear, practical foundation in these areas, presented in a way that makes complex legal principles accessible.
Actual examples and case studies are used throughout, and the presenter takes into consideration the type of institution and audience receiving the information. The workshop is structured to be as interactive as possible, with dedicated time for questions and answers. Participants will be asked to complete a survey evaluating the efficacy of the presentation and material.
